THE GREAT WHITE

Expeditions to Guadalupe Island

Expeditions to Guadalupe Island

Live the unique and unparalleled experience of being face to face with the amazing white shark on Guadalupe Island.

Guadalupe Island

Located 241 km off the coast of Baja California, this island has the ideal characteristics for sighting the great white shark.

Making it one of the best places in the world for this activity.

The great encounters with white sharks on Guadalupe Island are spectacular. Guadalupe feels like a remote outpost at the end of the world, but in reality it is incredibly easy to reach. Our trips meet in San Diego, California, with coach transfers to Ensenada, Mexico. It is the best destination in the world for calm and transparent waters and a high probability of multiple shark encounters per day.

The large number of animals in the bay that we dive is surprisingly surprising. We see great targets in three of four dives. The bay itself is home to 228 recognized sharks that are 12 to 19 feet long! Sometimes, we have seen up to nine sharks on a dive, and that is because Guadalupe is the kind of place where magic usually happens in the water.

All certified divers will have the opportunity to make a minimum of three dives per day in the submersible cages, and their trip includes the opportunity of unlimited time in the surface cages.

Divemasters are in the water during each dive in a submersible cage to ensure their safety. Keep in mind that surface cages open at 6:30 a.m., and diving in submersible cages starts at 8 a.m. Both are available until nightfall.

Our conservation efforts also continue at night when we return to the classroom and identify who we spend the day with. And if you realize that you dated a great white shark not yet listed, the name rights are all yours.

¿Como son las inmersiones?

Even the island itself, 180 miles off the coast of Mexico, seems magical. The coast of Guadalupe is 25 miles of rocky cliffs, but on top of it there is a dense forest that gives you the feeling of an exotic South Pacific destination. You can expect between 100 and 150 feet of visibility. We can literally see the sharks reach beyond the anchor line. Nothing but clear cobalt blue water.
